You come first!
Experience Boutique Surgery in Oakville

While some large plastic surgery practices move a high volume of patients through their doors, their patients may not meet their surgeon until the procedure day and may not see them after. We are a lower volume boutique practice by design, which allows us to emphasize individualized care and individualized results.

We don’t believe in cookie-cutter surgeries.
From the initial consultation, patients can build trust with Dr. Tutino, create a plan together, and never worry about switching care providers.

Journey to become one of the top plastic surgeons in toronto & GTA

Hi, I’m Dr. Tutino.
Let me take you down memory lane and tell you how I pursued my rewarding role as a Toronto Plastic Surgeon. I’m a first-generation Canadian. Both my mom and dad were born in Italy, and I’m the first physician in my family. My dad dedicated his career to construction, and my mom was a teacher. I was born and raised in beautiful Montreal, Quebec, on the west island.
Growing up, I was always sure that I wanted to be in medicine. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a physician. That was my dream as early as the fourth grade.

the early years...

"Growing up, I was always sure that I wanted to be in medicine. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a physician. That was my dream as early as the fourth grade."

An interesting story about me: In 1994 - fourth grade - my class made a time capsule sealed for ten years. When I opened the time capsule, I read about who my friends had been and that I wanted to be a doctor. My teacher wrote, “Dear Dr. Tutino. I hope you achieve all your dreams.” In 2004, I entered medical school. I opened the time capsule and saw the letter he had written. When I tracked him down and told him that I was accepted into medical school, he was very pleased and proud to hear it!

As a child growing up, in academics or otherwise, I was always meticulous and enjoyed working with my hands. I have a personal interest in World War II, and in particular, I dedicated hours to air-brushing detailed model airplanes. I didn’t mind spending hundreds of hours perfecting a single model! Today I carry the same passion and dedication to detail into body artistry.

Dr. Tutino's Education

"I received my M.D. in 2008. At that time, I moved from Hamilton to Toronto to begin my plastic and reconstructive surgery training. I completed my plastic surgery training in 2013 and was board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada."

"In 2013, I moved to Melbourne, Australia, where I did my fellowship in a practice that emphasized aesthetic and non-aesthetic breast and body surgery. Like most plastic surgeons, I was initially focused on reconstructive surgery."

"As a surgeon, it is gratifying to offer post-breast cancer reconstruction and similar work. I still enjoy heartwarming satisfaction as I follow my patients through confidence-building journeys in cosmetic surgery. I watch the work I do improve the quality of life for my patients daily, and I’m grateful to have the opportunity."

"A part of my fellowship in Melbourne involved microsurgery, sewing blood vessels that are 1.5-3mm in diameter using a microscope. Microsurgery training has directly translated into precision cosmetic surgery, allowing extremely subtle enhancements, minimizing tissue trauma, and speeding up recovery times for my patients."

"After completing my fellowship, I entered the physiology program at McGill University. It’s a rigorous program, yet I received an award for the single highest GPA in sciences at McGill."

Life in Toronto

"Entering my eighth year of plastic surgery practice in Toronto, I’ve had over 12000 patients to date. I maintain an average of 200-300 breast surgeries per year."

"Through my five years of residency in Toronto, I was fortunate enough to establish many relationships that grew valuable roots in the medical community. The field of plastic surgery is a relatively small one. I enjoy warm, mutually beneficial connections with colleagues in my field, and our patients benefit from shared knowledge, resources, and referrals."

"I have held a faculty position at the University of Toronto since 2015. Since then, I’ve received a Trillium Health Partners teaching award given to a limited number of surgeons based on feedback from residents and medical students. At the prime of my career, I’m enthusiastic about teaching the skills I’ve acquired and mentoring the next generation of aspiring plastic surgeons in Toronto."
